The Indie Journalist Meetup

Join us for the inaugural gathering of the Indie Journalist Meetup at The Candy Factory (TCF), 342 N. Queen St., Lancaster.

We’re looking to gather digital journalists from the greater Lancaster area who are navigating the creator economy to produce content covering news, events, and lifestyle/cultural features. This can include podcasters, bloggers, writers, livestreamers, and more.

In this first meetup, our goal is to take inventory of what’s happening in our slice of the information ecosystem here in Lancaster. Let’s share the projects we’re working on and what we hope to accomplish with them. We will also brainstorm ideas for what participants might find valuable as the meetup develops.

A meetup for independent journalists covering news, events, culture, and lifestyle while navigating the creator economy in Lancaster and surrounding areas. All creators welcome: podcasters, freelance writers, bloggers, YouTubers, livestreamers, and more!

Our mission is to create a space to gather in real life, to discuss the rewards and challenges of bringing authentic news and information to the Lancaster community, and to encourage participants to collaborate and share knowledge when appropriate to strengthen our local information ecosystem.

ABOUT YOUR HOST
Jason Mundok is a seasoned media producer with over two decades of experience creating compelling content and leading creative teams. At So Good Media, he produces audio podcasts, marketing videos, and original programming.

He currently hosts So Good Lancaster, a show that celebrates the people and ideas that make Lancaster, PA, so good.

The Creative House of Lancaster is a project of The Candy Factory, a coworking + social club located in the heart of Lancaster, PA.
