This session’s topic: Do we owe our parents anything?
Our parents shape how we think, what we value and how we see the world long before we’re able to question any of it.
Even when we become adults, many parents still want a say in our careers, relationships, beliefs and life choices. But do they really know what is best for us or are they projecting their own fears and expectations?
Does everything they gave earn them influence over our decisions? Where does parental guidance end and emotional control begin?
And at what point are we allowed to disappoint our parents in order to become ourselves?
How will it work?
• Participants will be randomly assigned into groups
(Debate group A, Debate group B, Jury)
• Each group prepares arguments.
• We debate live.
• Jury gives feedback.
💬 We end with open reflection.
No experience needed. Observers are welcome too.
