🌳Longshore 10 miles🌸Padley Gorge🌼Riverside🌸Hathersage🌼Higger Tor🌸Burbage🌳

Our scenic walk starts with a short walk into Longshore and joins the path along Padley Gorge, a scenic woodland Brook which takes us all the way to the charming Grindleford Station which is located next to a beautiful bridge surrounded by woodland.

Our route follows the scenic riverside grassy path to the characterful Village of Hathersage, toilets available in the village.

Leaving Hathersage, our route heads up through woodland to join moorland with pleasant grassy paths and far reaching views which takes us to a short easier path up onto Higger Tor, the views around us are spectacular.

Coming off Higger Tor at Burbage Bridge, our chosen route takes us along Burbage Edge with more stunning views along the rocky edge. Burbage Edge brings us back into Fox House Carpark where the pub awaits us..

During the walk, we make sure everyone is ok with catching up points and breaks along the way. As well as supporting eachother and taking our time to enjoy the beauty of our surroundings.
Enjoyment is first and foremost, as well as respecting slower walkers..

This walk has gradual ascents and descents in parts with some rocky paths, but also pleasant grassy moorland and riverside paths as well as walks through Villages and Hamlets

Bring a picnic lunch and plenty of water and snacks to keep you going

Toilets at Longshore and Hathersage

Walking boots are essential, a walking pole is helpful on ascents and descents

As always check the weather and dress accordingly
