⛄️We start our first festive walk from the fascinating Market Town of Wirksworth dressed in Christmas lights.🎄
A chance to experience Wirksworth Christmas Market 🎄with its narrow streets quirky shops and a maze of interesting winding alleyways.
Our route takes us through the vast area of Middle Peak Quarry. It brings us over fields and pastures to Middleton Top on the High Peak Trail.
Our route follows the High Peak Trail to Black Rocks Café and toilets, a chance to stop for some lunch and grab a hot drink if the cafe is open..
We carry on and go up by Black Rocks, weather permitting we can climb onto black rocks for a group photo..
Our route soon reaches the trig point, the path takes us to Bolehill, a grassy knoll with great views.
Leaving Bolehill, we walk through the tiny hamlet of Bolehill and follow a winding path through pretty cottages down towards Wirksworth.
We follow grassy pastures on good tracks eventually taking us back into Wirksworth where we can explore the Christmas Market🎄and delicious hot food stalls..
