This walk has replaced Burbage Edge due to rain forecast most of the day, such a beautiful walk is always done on a clear day to appreciate the stunning views, it is also exposed so it's a soggy walk in the rain..
I have chosen a woodland walk with less exposed areas.

This walk should give us a chance to see beautiful bluebell woodland. It takes us on a route from Rowsley through Tinkersley Copy woods Halldale Hallmoor and Northwood Carr Woodland and finishes by the river.
These Woodlands have an abundance of bluebells in Spring, especially Northwood Carr Woods.

Our first encounter is Tinkersley farm, there's a grassy bank with beautiful views towards Stanton Moor opposite, a lovely place to stop for a snack and photo opportunity.

Our route takes us through woodland to eventually emerge onto green pastures with many beech trees along the path. It takes us to a lane where it passes the trig point of Big Bumper Piece.

Our route soon enters Halldale woods with a beautiful Brook running alongside the wooded path and soon enters Hallmoor woods with steep banks of large rock boulders from the many quarries in the area.

After following a lane lined with pretty cottages and far-reaching scenic views, our route enters Northwood Carr woods. There should be a carpet of beautiful bluebells waiting for us as we walk through these pretty woods.

Eventually our path emerges from bluebell woods and we join the riverside path which takes us back to our carpark where we started this scenic walk in Rowsley.
Moderate walk with some gentle ascents and descents through woodland

Catching up points and plenty of breaks along the way as always

Bring a picnic lunch snacks and plenty of water to keep you going

Walking boots are advised, as always dress accordingly

Looking forward to sharing this woodland adventure with you..
