Guy Davidson: What did I learn? 25 years at Creative Assembly
Details
Hello! 🙂
We are absolutely thrilled to welcome back Guy Davidson to our Meetup, especially after his visit from last year (see https://www.meetup.com/the-dutch-cpp-group/events/296311316/), where he made a great Meetup possible as well and brought many interesting stories. And once again I’m also pleased to announce that JetBrains will host the Meetup, and special thanks to Anastasia!
Guy Davidson is an eminent figure in the C++ world, with a wealth of experience in programming, writing standard library proposals, and regularly speaking at C++ conferences. So I hope the weather will be great and we’ll have an awesome meetup again! More info on the talk below.
There might be a stream, but no recording will be made.
### Abstract
After 25 years, I parted company with Creative Assembly. It was time for new challenges. While I was there, I learned a lot about how to make games, how to maintain large codebases, how to lead teams, and many other topics. This talk covers nine of the most important lessons I took away.
