The Erotic Literary Salon will be shut down soon and the new name will be Erotic Poetry and Stories. I have decided that 12 twelve years was a good run; several people told me they felt this way and I agreed.

I will continue to send out a Salon newsletter, to subscribe email: pcsalons@gmail.com and in the subject line write subscribe.

The titles “The Erotic Literary Salon” and "Adult Sex-Ed Salon" have a common trademark and cannot be used by anyone else. The newsletter will keep you informed of any events the Salon might produce or sponsor.

The article almost turned into a documentary, but Arnold Skolnick, photographer of the controversial photos died unexpectedly. We had been friends for over a decade. NYT Obituary. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/06/30/arts/music/arnold-skolnick-dead.html Arnold allowed me to use a couple photos for the cover of the Salon's ebook anthology (see below for link to Sensexsual: A Unique Anthology.) Amazon and the PR company I used were not pleased with the photo.

The article will focus on obscenity, pornography versus erotica, naked versus nude, and how censorship impacts sexual shame. These topics will be presented through the lens of the photograph’s various journeys to publication, starting in 1969.

Please view the enclosed video of Frances Seidman, who attended every Salon when she wasn't being a snow bird in Florida. She was born in 1917 and died in 2017, 1/2 year short of 101. She climbed the stairs to the Salon, until her body felt 7 years of sharing some incredible stories was enough.
