Step into Kreta Ayer, the cultural heart of Chinatown, where heritage shophouses and stories of old Singapore line every street. Wander through hidden back alleys brought to life by local artist Yip Yew Chong’s murals, depicting scenes of family life, bustling markets, traditional trades, and long-standing businesses that continue to thrive today.

Along the way, uncover the fascinating stories behind Chinatown’s street names and visit Ann Siang Hill Park, home to Chinatown’s last surviving 19th-century water well—a rare reminder of the neighbourhood’s early days.
