■Host Profile

### ■Policy
No talking about or asking about jobs.
(To avoid sticking the label of "occupation" on each other upon meeting, and to connect purely as human beings with shared values.
No talking about or asking about ages.
(To enjoy flat, open dialogue free from the boundaries of age.)
Communication using Topic Cards
(During the activity, we'll use special topic cards to dive into themes we rarely get to talk about in daily life.
Example: "When was a moment you looked at someone living a completely different life from you and thought, 'That's so cool, I want to live like that too'?")*
Pair-Shuffling System
(As we hike, we will switch up our pairs a few times upon the host's signal. This ensures everyone gets to talk with different participants and encounter fresh perspectives and stories.)
Note: You might get paired with someone who isn't fully fluent in English or Japanese—and that is completely fine! Fluency doesn't matter here. Use gestures, smiles, and eye contact to reach out, be friendly, and enjoy this adventure and meeting together!
### ■Who This Is For
People who are exhausted by conversations meant to "impress" others.
That game of showing off and polite small talk ends here. We promise you a space where you can just be your real self and laugh.
People looking for peers to freely clash values and share real stories with.
People who want to step away from screens and concrete to awaken all five senses in Nara’s nature.
People excited by Asian roots, cross-cultural connections, and the sound of English.
People who get drained by large crowds and prefer deep, small-group conversations (Introverts / Type-I are very welcome!).
### ■Host Profile
Starting with working holidays in Canada and Australia, I fell so deeply in love with living abroad and different cultures that I once negotiated my own way into a homestay in Denmark. These days, I live in Nara, self-sufficiently growing about 80% of my own vegetables. My daily routine includes digging a hole in the backyard to build an earth oven because "if I don't have an oven, I can just make one," and burning firewood to bake bread. I love preparing for winter by drying basil and rosemary harvested in the summer, and quietly weaving the power of nature into my everyday cooking and living.
I wanted to step away a little from Japan’s busy routines and the boxes of "titles and ages," and reclaim a more genuine, warm-hearted human connection. More than anything, I wanted to share nature with fellow Asians across borders and backgrounds. That’s the exact reason I started this group. Let's unbind our five senses and spend an amazing time together!
