The French Club : already 225 events completed (Sept. 1, 2024 — June 26, 2025)
Where French learners can practice, meet people from around the world, have fun and improve their language skills. There is no judgment and no shame, regardless of your level and ability to speak.
I offer online and in-person meetings, from fun conversations to specific events with a particular focus (like French pronunciation workshops), all the way to "confidence building" events.
About Me
In 2017, I was hired as a French teacher by a university in Spain.
Since March 2020, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching French
to 710 students from many countries, delivering more than
4,900+ French lessons, online and in person (as of April 26, 2025).

Course Description
This B1-level French course is designed for learners who have completed the A2 level or have a solid foundation in basic French.
It will help students transition from structured conversations to more natural, spontaneous communication, improve grammatical accuracy, and build confidence in work, travel, and social contexts.
This course follows the CEFR B1 level to prepare students for functional communication in social, travel, and work situations.

* Suggestions for videos and exercises to guide your self-study are provided. If you have questions during the week, you can ask in the WhatsApp group.
* Each week concludes with an optional self-assessment exam and answer key

The preferred option is to make the full payment at least one week before the course begins. However, if you are uncertain about committing or working with a tight budget, you may choose to pay weekly. The weekly payment is $28 CAD and must be sent at least 24 hours before each class to secure your place in that week’s session.* Full Course Fee: $280 CAD (taxes included) for the complete 10-week program

Refund Policy

These informal sessions offer a valuable opportunity to review course material, reinforce speaking skills, and build confidence in a relaxed setting. All enrolled students are welcome to attend.
To further enhance learning, students are also encouraged to organize their own informal study groups during the week. While the instructor will not be present for these peer-led sessions, they are highly recommended as a way to collaborate, share insights, and stay motivated throughout the 10-week journey.

This A2-level course is designed for learners who already have a basic understanding of French and want to build greater fluency and accuracy in everyday communication. Over 10 weeks, students will strengthen their ability to speak, understand, read, and write in French through real-life contexts and guided practice.
The course offers structured lessons, engaging conversation practice, and regular feedback to help students become more independent and confident in using French at an elementary level. Students will learn to describe their daily life in more detail, express preferences and opinions, talk about the past and future, and navigate social and practical situations.
Classes are dynamic, interactive, and supportive — ideal for learners who want to expand their vocabulary, solidify their grammar, and feel more natural when speaking.

Casual Conversations in French (with Gaffar,

Practice French with other French learners.Open to anyone with an A2 or B1 level in French.
Whether you can speak somewhat easily or with some difficulty,
this is a fun and relaxed way to practice and improve your French
with other French speakers who have varying levels of proficiency
and are based in different countries.You'll spend 60 minutes, having a group meeting, online,
using Google Meet.I will not attend these meetings, as I already have engagements at that time. But a student of mine wants to practice and improve and this can be a fantastic opportunity for others to join and have a conversation in French.
Gaffar is a serious student, already well established in the UAE, working in the accounting field. His desire to improve in French is noticeable and he'd like to use these practice sessions in order to raise his oral comprehension and oral expression. Other learners are welcome, not only students of mine.

Extra Practice & Community SupportIn addition to the main Sunday classes, students are invited to join optional group practice sessions held every Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 PM EST on Zoom. These informal sessions offer a valuable opportunity to review course material, reinforce speaking skills, and build confidence in a relaxed setting. All enrolled students are welcome to attend.
To further enhance learning, students are also encouraged to organize their own informal study groups during the week. While the instructor will not be present for these peer-led sessions, they are highly recommended as a way to collaborate, share insights, and stay motivated throughout the 10-week journey.
