🎧 This time: Philosophize This! #231 — Wittgenstein and Language Games

Wittgenstein asks a simple question: where does the meaning of a word come from?

That makes this episode especially relevant to our regular discussions, where we often get pulled into the “definition problem”: trying to define freedom, intelligence, justice, happiness, etc. before we can even discuss them.

Wittgenstein offers a different way of looking at this: perhaps words don’t always have one precise essence or definition. Their meaning may come from how they are used in context.
