Ribblehead to Ingleton

Ribblehead to Ingleton crossing Scales Moor. Beginning the walk under Ribblehead viaduct & along flanks of Whernside we cross Scales Moor & descend to village of Ingleton. Some moorland tracks but very little ascent.This is a walk using train and bus.

8.5 miles – Moderate - (Explanation of gradings). Please note this is a one way walk, please see the information below for access by public transport or let us know if you need a hand.

Out: catch train from Leeds (0918); Skipton (0955) with connections at Shipley & Bingley, arriving at Ribblehead station (1037)

Return: Catch Craven Connection bus 580/581 from Ingleton Community Centre (1500) to Settle station(1525) & Skipton station (1610) & trains home.
