Welcome to The Gilded Siren

The Gilded Siren is an English-language Fantasy & Science Fiction Writing Guild based in Buenos Aires.

Our goal is simple: create a welcoming community where speculative fiction writers can consistently make progress on their work while building friendships with others who share a love of fantasy and science fiction.

Whether you're outlining your first novel, revising your latest chapter, building an intricate magic system, or writing a short story, you'll find a space to focus, create, and connect.

Our meetings are built around dedicated writing time. We believe the best way to finish stories is to actually sit down and write them.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Each meetup follows a structured schedule designed to balance productivity with community.

Arrival (5-10 minutes before start at 12PM)

Find a seat.
Optional: Purchase food or a beverage.
Get settled before we begin.

Silent Writing Session 1 (30 minutes)

Phones away.
Conversations paused.
Time to immerse yourself in your project.

Post-Writing Chat 1 (10 minutes)
Take a break to:

Meet other writers.
Discuss works in progress.
Brainstorm ideas.
Ask for advice.
Share recommendations.

Silent Writing Session 2 (30 minutes)

Post-Writing Chat 2 (15 minutes)

Wrap up the afternoon with conversation, questions, encouragement, and an opportunity to share what you accomplished.

This meetup is for adults (18+).
All writing and discussion are conducted in English.
This is a genre-focused writing guild. If your primary project is fantasy, science fiction, horror, alternate history, magical realism, or another form of speculative fiction, you'll fit right in.
Writers of every experience level are welcome.

What Should I Bring?
Your favorite writing tools (if you bring a laptop, be sure it's charged), headphones during writing sessions if you want.
