LATEST UPDATE (posted 7/26/2025):

For those who were planning to meet for dinner at five o'clock, there's been a last-minute change in plans! Many apologies!

When I googled driving directions this afternoon, Google Maps showed Half Fast Subs as being "temporarily closed." I texted a friend in Boulder, and she confirmed, "The apartment above it had a fire and severely damaged Half Fast. They are trying to reopen, but reconstruction has taken longer than expected."

I'm not sure if everyone will see this message by this evening, so I think the best plan is to keep the meeting place at Half Fast at 5:00. From there, we can walk down the street to Illegal Pete's, which is just a 2-minute walk away.

Sorry I didn't find out about this sooner!

UPDATE (posted 7/24/2025):

If you're interested in meeting for dinner before the performance, Jennifer and I will be at Half Fast Subs at 5:00. Depending on how the weather goes, we can either eat right there in the restaurant or take sandwiches with us and eat picnic-style on the grassy quad in front of the theater. (Half Fast Subs is just 0.2 miles from the Norlin Quad. The walk should take less than 10 minutes.)

If you're interested in joining us for a performance of "Richard II" in Boulder, please RSVP here no later than Sunday, July 6.

Tickets are $66 apiece, plus whatever taxes and ticketing fees are hidden until the moment of checkout. (If I remember correctly from last year, those hidden fees should be less than $5 per ticket.)

As soon as the RSVP period ends, I'll buy our block of tickets and then send my PayPal and Venmo information to the attendees. If you prefer to reimburse me some other way (i.e., neither PayPal nor Venmo works for you), just contact me through Meetup and let me know!

If you're planning to buy your own ticket(s) to this performance, feel free to leave a comment here letting us know, but please don't RSVP "yes" unless you want me to buy your ticket(s) for you.

Let me repeat once again that the performance is in Boulder, CO. All performances are indoors this year because the outdoor theater is undergoing renovations. Here's the address of the theater:
