The Grief Collective: Pune

Hello, kind stranger.

Grief is a hard, deeply complex emotion. We are here to sit with it. In a quiet, safe space. We are here to talk about it.

It happens all around us, nearly always to us at some point in our lives and we find ourselves alone, desperate and not sure what to do with it. We want to share the people, animals, relationships we have lost physically, but are alive within us.

We sit with it, and miss our loved ones, not knowing that grief is only love that doesn't have a place to go.

This is a support group for people who have experienced loss, and would like to talk about with others who would love to listen and not judge.

We're hoping to meet people from all walks of life, who would like to share their journeys, their struggles and challenges and have a reflective dialogue about how their world has changed, and how they are coping.

We will talk, listen, play games if we can, connect and support people whenever we can. It will be a mix of some structure - where we try to introduce some activities, and some open sessions. You can be quiet, you can talk, you can simply just offer to listen to someone. So if you want a safe space to share your grief, or to just relax with people who understand it, we are here for you.

As long as it is respectful and safe, we welcome you.

Non-negotiables for us:

• No interruptions and no judgements will be tolerated. This is a safe space - for you, and for others.
• No political or religious discourse of any kind: There are spaces for that, this is not the one.
• No passing comments, or reactions that can be rude and insensitive.
• No pushing boundaries or unwanted approaching someone's personal space.
  -No offering advice, unless specifically asked for.

We will be organizing meet ups once a month, and the sessions with be online or offline, depending on availability.

This is a peer led activity, and not moderated by a therapist/counselor. So, this is not a space for offering or taking any clinical advice,
