Are you passionate about the art of storytelling and writing fiction, nonfiction, short stories, poetry, memoirs, romance and romantasy, science fiction? Do you find joy in crafting pieces that move and inspire others? The Highground Writers Meetup Group is a community of like-minded individuals who come together to share their love of writing. Whether you're a seasoned author or just starting out on your writing journey, this group is the perfect place to connect with fellow writers, receive feedback on your work if you choose, and swap tips on publishing, self-publishing, queries, and all things related to writing and marketing your work. Join us for one to two hours of silent writing in which we put our heads down and focus on finishing our work or starting a new project. After that, there will be insightful discussions, and a supportive network of writers dedicated to honing their craft and sharing valuable information. If you would like to share pages of your work, we will provide gentle critiques, supportive suggestions, and no harsh line-by-line discouragements. Bring headphones to block noise and music played. Your RSVP is the key to the success of the group, and it is also common courtesy. If you join without intending to ever show up to write, you'll be wasting the time of other members who are looking for a vibrant group with active attendance.
