Moore's Bridge Park < New Trails

Details

Moore's Bridge Park is a beautiful trail system we found recently a bit south of Six Flags. We have biked this trail three times and not only saw just three people total, but rank it top-three amongst all of the trails we hike and bike in Georgia.

The trails are in the woods and are very well-kept. The hill sections are short and easy, and sections of the train run alongside the Chattahoochee River for great views.

For those who like history, look up the background of this park. Though we have yet to find any building remnants like we see at Clinton Nature Preserve, maybe we'll get lucky.

Directions:
The park is off of Route 5, and for me coming from Exit 9 on GA 400, takes 1:06. Though this is a little further outside downtown than usual, it is well worth the drive!

Hike Details:
Distance = ~ eight miles
Time: Budget 2 1/2 to 3 hours
Skill Rating = Easy
Pace = 2½ to 3 miles per hour
Special Equipment = None needed
Other Stuff = No dogs allowed, but children that can keep the posted pace are encouraged to attend

And Don't Forget:
We'll go to a local restaurant or brewery after the hike.

See you there!
