Probably the best hike in Georgia, you get mountain view, waterfalls, and stairs.
We are hoping to catch the fall colors at this iconic canyon. practice your cardio beforehand. CARPOOL ADVISED.
I'll be watching the weather closely as the date approaches. Bad weather may cancel the hike. I'll make the decision the night before. Please check the event listing before heading out the day of the hike.
We'll hike the West Rim Loop Trail past Cherokee, hemlock falls, and half of Sitton's Gulch Trail. In total, we'll be putting in around 10 miles and there are ALOT OF STAIRS in and around the waterfalls. This is definitely not a beginners hike, but beginners are welcomed and encouraged to stick with other beginners because i will not slow down for beginners to catch up. We will do photo stops and breaks. Please ensure you bring proper gear (water, poles, layers, snacks, etc.). Bring layers.
Cloudland Canyon State Park requires a $5 parking fee, but State Park Passes are accepted in lieu of this fee. Carpooled is advised
