Writing Across the Spectrum (In Person)
157B, 157 First St, Jersey City, NJ, USCALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Overcoming & Becoming
We all have incredible stories of the changes and challenges we have faced in life. Moments where we stared down the impossible and found a way through. Times when we overcame obstacles and became stronger, bolder, and refreshed.
Jersey City Writers is seeking original work from writers on the autism spectrum and the people who support them like parents, caregivers, educators, therapists, siblings, partners, allies. If autism is part of your story, we want to hear from you.
We're looking for work that explores the theme of Overcoming & Becoming. Whether it's a personal narrative of resilience, a work of fiction about strength, or a reflection on growth and change, show us what a metamorphosis looks like through your lens.
What does it mean to push past the thing that held you or a character back?
Show us the messy middle, the breakthrough, the becoming.
