Laid Back Writers: December 2025 - Publishing Event

The December 2025 Liverpool Laid-Back Writers Meetup will be on Sunday 14th December at 2pm to 5pm- upstairs at the Ship and Mitre in Liverpool City Centre.
This event is something different. Will Edwards, one of our members, will be giving a talk on self publishing via Amazon Kindle and we will be joined by Simon Bestwick, a local writer of horror stories who will speak to working with a professional book publisher. Talks will last about an hour with some time for questions and a break in the middle for refreshments.
The meeting will start at 2pm and finish at 5pm (the room is booked for another event from 6pm onwards). Afterwards, anyone interested can form a 'Christmas social' pub raiding party to ravage the city until we are comatose.
Simon will give feedback on up to five horror story synopses up to 1500 words. Submit to me to pass on, first come first served, by SUNDAY 7th December. I will then send a message out to those attending, with links to the synopses so that we have time to read them before the meetup itself.
I'd suggest posting a comment with a view-only Google documents link (docs.google.com) set to be shared so that I can do this.
Please do bring £2, to help us cover meetup fees.
