About us
Leading people is hard and there's almost nowhere to have honest conversations about it.
There are plenty of courses that teach frameworks.
Plenty of LinkedIn posts with inspirational quotes.
Plenty of consultants ready to sell you something.
What's missing is a room full of people who actually do this work - managing teams, navigating politics, making hard calls with incomplete information - who want to hone their craft together.
That's what this is.
WHAT HAPPENS HERE?
We meet regularly to wrestle with real questions. The messy stuff:
- When did professional development become entirely the employee's responsibility and is that working?
- Why is giving honest feedback still so hard, even for experienced leaders?
- Why does strategic clarity at the top turn into confusion by the time it hits the team?
- You're told to drive change but given no authority to change anything. Now what?
- Does your organization reward what it says it values?
Each session starts with a big question - something we've all encountered but rarely get to discuss openly - then opens into discussion. No panels of experts. No PowerPoints full of platitudes. Just leaders in the room, working through things together.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
You lead people.
Perhaps informally, maybe a team of five, maybe an organization of five hundred.
You're not looking for a guru, you're looking for peers who take the craft seriously.
You might be navigating your first leadership role.
You might be a seasoned executive who's figured some things out and wants to help others do the same.
You might be new to Singapore or have been here for decades.
What matters is that you want to get better at this, you're willing to both learn and contribute.
INAUGURAL SESSION
Our inaugural session will explore the question, "What's a management practice you used to believe in but have since abandoned?". We'll also shape the community together: what topics matter to you, what struggles deserve airtime, who else should be in the room.
Bring your experience, bring the challenge that's been keeping you up at night - this is a room where you can put it on the table and tap into the collective wisdom of people who've been there - and bring your willingness to return the favor.
