About us

We are just a simple group of friends that like organizing fun events and meeting positive/new people. If you want to get the most out of every day by trying fun, new, spontaneous, (and sometimes competitive) Meetup events like we do, come live The Life of Adventure with us.

In order to help ensure the safety of our friends, eliminate catfishes/bots/harassment, and so that we know who our friends are when they show up to events; we ask that you have an accurate picture of your face in your profile picture. We will not be approving any friend requests without one. Thanks for your understanding and respect for the safety of all our friends.

Like I said, we're just a group of friends; so the obvious rules are the only rules.

- Be respectful. Please respect all of our other friends at all times. You will get our respect from the start.

- Be Understanding. We may compete at times but we are always here for fun and good times above all else. Winning is not the objective, having fun is. If you feel the need to constantly go out and thoroughly dominate your opponent in every aspect to show how "Alpha" you are..... this might not be the group for you. Let's just be happy we're all out having a good time together. High fives, handshakes and "GGs" at the end, always.

- No heavy intoxication is allowed at any events. Make sure you can always carry yourself in a respectful manner. This is everyone's time to have fun.

- Age Minimum: This is a 21 and over group since we sometimes host events that have alcohol involved. No minors are allowed at our events for obvious liability/legal reasons.

- Age Maximum: There isn't one. I have gained a lot of irreplaceable knowledge from my older friends and look forward to gaining even more from our more experienced perspectives.

- Be physically ready for the adventure your are about to embark on. Be hydrated. Be fed. Be prepared with the proper gear. We ask that you be aware of the type of group this is. We run, hike, play team sports, and are constantly active; be sure this is the right group for your healthy level of activity.

-We do not accept any legal liability for our attendees. All events listed here are done at the participants own risk. We only condone you sign up for activities/events you can easily participate in and are prepared to do. We are not an insured business, or non-profit, just a group of friends who want to make more friends and share the good vibes with everyone.

- While it is perfectly natural for humans to want to explore the possibility of a relationship with someone else; Just understand that when someone says "No," please don't do anything that would make them need to say "No" a second time. There are dating groups on Meetup, this is not one of them. Move on before this happens. On the flip side, if anyone has had to tell someone "No" a second time, please come tell me and we will discuss the safe and proper steps going forward. Everyone has the right to feel safe (and not creeped out) while on an Adventure with their friends. If it is something that you do not want to talk to me about, there are other people (such as my girlfriend or our other co-organizers) that will be glad to hear you.

- (Try to) be positive. Come out here with the aim to have fun. Treat the people you meet here as potential future best friends. The possibilities in life are truly endless! - Ryan

LOA Kickball: Pop-Up Babyball

LOA Kickball: Pop-Up Babyball

Irving Park, NE 7th Ave & Fremont St, Portland, OR, US

We're in Portland for a work trip so come kick a ball with me and Jamie and baby Leia! (She has tiny legs but give her a chance)

If the weather's bad we'll move it to Thursday.

It's time for my favorite sport of the year: Kickball! Come blow off your work-week stress! It's April and the weather is perfect for outdoor sports with friends.

It is first come, first serve (with a waitlist), so sign up early. If you need to come a little late that's ok too. Sunset's at 8:12pm

We will be shuffling teams each game, so the matches are even and everyone gets a chance to play with new friends.

No minors or crashers will be allowed to play. They can watch and cheer, though.

Cleats, water, a positive attitude and (colorful) athletic wear are recommended.

LOA Kickball Rules:

  • No strikes or balls but, 4 Fouls, and you're out.
  • No bunting. Foot must swing forward.
  • You can peg a runner with the ball in the midsection between the knees and the shoulders. Any higher or lower, and they are safe.... for obvious safety reasons. Simple: Off the bag + touched by the ball between shoulders and knees = out.
  • Runners may not advance past their current bag while the pitcher has the ball and is not actively in the play. I will call when the ball is foul or when it is timeout.
  • No lead-offs. Leave the bag on contact.
  • 5 run limit per team at bat. Final inning is endless scoring until the batting team is up by 15.
  • You must tag up. See this 50 second video to learn how and when to tag up:
