PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU RSVP
Bring your watercraft (kayak, canoe, SUP) or fishing gear and be part of Life of Adventure’s inaugural camping trip at Lake Harriet!
Nestled in the Mt. Hood National Forest, Lake Harriet is a 22-acre reservoir stocked with rainbow trout and has only 7 campsites. This makes for a quiet getaway for fishers and paddlers.
I have 1 campsite that can accommodate up to 6 people. Because we will be in close quarters and the overnight nature of this event, I’ll be adding folks from the waitlist based on:

  • We’ve met and had a positive interaction at one of Life of Adventure’s Meetups or another Meetup group.
  • You either have a camper van (and can give other attendees a ride) or are willing to share a tent with another attendee, as tent pad space is limited.
  • Are willing to carpool and can pitch in gas money to your driver. Based on 59.5 miles from central Portland to the campsite and at current IRS standard mileage rate of $0.70/mile = $7 per person. Bring cash!
  • Answer ALL questions at the time of your RSVP. This includes providing your phone number.
  • Are willing to participate in a group WhatsApp chat to coordinate carpooling, logistics etc. We can coordinate the bringing of supplies and shared food/meals, if desired.
  • Can use PayPal or Venmo to pay me, as I’ve already paid for the campsite.

Total cost will be $12-17 per person, based upon 4-6 people attending. This includes cost of the site and campsite parking. Cost will be adjusted if less than 4 people attend. Because this event is less than 1 week away, only sign up if you plan to attend, as there will be NO REFUNDS. Thank you for understanding!

I will be coming from Clackamas on Friday and can take up to 2 others. Check-in time to the campsite is at 4PM, but I probably won't be able to get there until 6-7PM.

Check out time from the campground is 12PM and **does NOT include return time back to Portland. **

To be added to the going list:
Ā· Add yourself to the waitlist, make sure you provide your PayPal/Venmo info in your RSVP responses.
Ā· You’ll have 24 hours to make payment once I request it from you.
Ā· When I receive your payment you will be added to the ā€œgoingā€ list.
What to bring (not an all-inclusive list):
· **A positive, easy-going, and collaborative attitude. This weekend is about community, friendship, and connection!**🄰
Ā· $7 cash for your driver to pitch in for gas
Ā· Sleeping gear – whether that’s a hammock or tent, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad
Ā· Anything you need for camp cooking. I am bringing a set of 4 reusable dishware/utensils, a camp stove, and one pan.
Ā· Your desired watercraft and PFD
Ā· Fishing gear, if you want
Ā· Flashlight, lantern, and/or headlamp
Ā· GAMES! I will bring a couple games.
Well-behaved dogs allowed BUT per park/campground rules, MUST BE ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES! Please take this into consideration, especially if you intend to spend time on the water.
Fire restrictions are in effect for the Mt. Hood Nat’l Forest area, including Lake Harriet. So NO open fires (campfires, wood stoves, candles, and charcoal and pellet fires). PERMITTED devices include portable cooking stoves and fire pits that use liquified or bottled fuels and can be turned off instantly.
