Kiss the Summer Goodbye Potluck and Volleyball Bash!

Details

Join LOA and all your friends for an end of summer super party! We're going to be playing a lot of sand volleyball (all levels welcome) and will have other fun games like corn hole, ladder ball, Ultimate Frisbee, soccer, likely cricket, and some water cannons to stay cool with, etc! Feel free to bring your own field games or anything additional that you might enjoy, or that others might enjoy.

Events Hosts: Ryan is the primary host for this one, handling all logistics and planning. Teddy will be helping with VB coordination. Caleb will help outside of volleyball. Juno will be there with her chill vibes, reminding us all to stay chill. Let Ryan know if you have any questions along the way.

Other awesomeness:
Bring your SUP, kayak, or fun floaty so you can dip in the river and cool off. Keep in mind that the water might be COLD. Usually around 2 or 3pm some choose to paddle across the Columbia River over to the Oregon side to check out the Pterodactyl nests on Pterodactyl Island. You're welcome to join us and must bring a PFD (personal flotation device) if you choose to partake in this mini adventure.

This year will be a potluck. Feel free to bring your favorite dish.

Bring your cooler and a potluck item if you'd like, or just bring your appetite, all is good.

We'll have a couple Bluetooth speakers for music so feel free to hook up to them and play your favorite tunes at the Pavilion or on the sand courts.

You don't have to stay for the entire event, just keep your rsvp up to date m

Boring stuff that's important:
Parking is $3/vehicle - cash or card will work. Parking fills up fast so the earlier you can get there the easier that'll be. If/when the parking lots fill up you can park along the street on NW Lower River Rd but you'll have a decent walk from there (about .3 miles) to meetup with us so just keep that in mind.

Bring plenty of water and sunscreen so you can stay hydrated and safe while you play in the sun.

Swimming is not recommended at Frenchman’s Bar Regional Park because of steep drop-offs and swift currents in the Columbia River. There are no lifeguards on duty.
