Limited Time Only: Morel Hunt in Hood

I'm back in town for the week so let's hit a proven morel spot. Should be some snowbank and true morels out and about.

We're going to East Hood and maybe we'll check out the king bolete spot but it's early so conditional. Might go to a 2024 burn that's down a steep hill with lots of large fallen trees so be sure your ankles/knees can handle that.

Bring: mushroom bag, lunch and water, small knife, tick spray, appropriate hiking clothes, daypack, whistle.

In addition: I plan to checkout the 2024 Retreat Fire in May or June. It's about 4 hours N of Portland and requires a full weekend stay. You can join me if you want. People were pulling out buckets of morels last year so I have high hopes.
