About us

The goal of The Lived Stories Project is to find adults who are open to being interviewed about their lives, experiences, turning points, challenges, resilience, healing, identity, ambition, and the stories that shaped them.
This is an interview and storytelling project, not a support group, therapy group, crisis service, or clinical mental health service.

Who do you want to meet?
I want to meet thoughtful adults from different backgrounds who are comfortable having honest, reflective conversations on camera or audio. I’m interested in speaking with people who have life experiences, lessons, challenges, personal growth, major transitions, or meaningful stories they want to share.
You do not need to have a dramatic story. You only need to be willing to reflect honestly on your life, what shaped you, and what you are building now.
What will you do at your events?
Events will be interview sessions. Participants will have a short conversation beforehand, review the purpose of the project, and choose whether they want to be recorded. Interviews may explore life experiences, major turning points, relationships, family, work, identity, resilience, healing, grief, ambition, reinvention, and personal growth.
Participation is voluntary. People can decline any question, pause, stop the interview, or choose not to be recorded. Filming or recording will only happen with clear consent.

I work in social services and am studying social work, but this project is documentary/storytelling-based. Participation is voluntary, and you can decline any question. Filming only happens with clear consent and a signed release form.
