About us

Welcome to The Living Room, where we co-live, not just co-exist.

Most of us spend our days on autopilot — scrolling, consuming, moving fast without ever stopping to ask: is this the life I'd actually choose? And we're doing all of it alone. Full calendars, phones full of group chats, and somehow still sitting three feet from a stranger at the same coffee shop with our headphones in.

I grew up in India, where life looked different. Neighbors checked in on each other when someone was unwell. Service showed up without being asked. People's lives were stitched together because that's just how life worked. Community wasn't something you joined — it was just the shape your days came in.

I started The Living Room because I believe two things: we need to live more consciously — slowing down, creating with our hands, eating with the seasons, choosing our days instead of drifting through them. And we need to do it together — because the inward journey gets richer when you're surrounded by people who are also choosing to live awake.

We read, write, craft, journal, cook with the seasons, and have conversations that go somewhere real. Reflectively, creatively, and together.

Come as you are. The door's open. 🙏
