An annual highlight in the Club's calendar, this flotilla weekend is the perfect opportunity to meet and sail in company with lots of LSC members as we explore the famous harbours and anchorages of the Solent. There’ll be plenty of sailing, opportunities to swim and relax, and a drinks reception and informal dinner on Saturday night. This is a non-commercial trip run on a shared-cost basis.

The plan
We’ve chartered five MCA-coded yachts which will be skippered and co-skippered by experienced sailors from the club. If there is enough interest we will charter additional boats, so please do join the waiting list even if the event looks full!
The weekend will begin with people meeting up in Hamble on Friday evening from 7pm at Port Hamble Marina (to drop bags on yachts) and then 8pm in Banana Wharf (the marina's bar and restaurant) for dinner or drinks. On Saturday, we’ll sail somewhere pretty for lunch before heading to Cowes for evening drinks and a celebratory group dinner. There's usually a post-dinner tour of Cowes bars for those who wish to stay out longer! Sunday promises to be another full day on the water, with crews returning to Port Hamble Marina by 4pm. Accommodation will be aboard the yachts in shared double or twin cabins. Please let us know if there is someone in particular you would like to share with.

Cost
The cost of the weekend is £285 per person, which includes a substantial subsidy from the club to ensure the event remains affordable and accessible for all. The fee includes yacht charter, fuel, marina fees, and breakfasts, lunches, snacks and hot/soft drinks on board. It also includes Saturday night’s welcome drink and evening meal in Cowes (additional drinks are available at your own expense).
Please note that your meal on Friday evening and travel to/from Hamble are not included.
Full payment needs to be made by 1st June to secure your spot. Note that all participants must be full members of the Club (which costs £24 per year) at the time of sign-up.
