Wines of Argentina and Spain with Winemaker Mauricio Lorca

Details
Mauricio Lorca is a transatlantic winemaker, working with vineyards in the high Andes of Argentina as well as the verdant valleys of Galicia in north-west Spain. This tasting is a chance to meet Mauricio and discover his wines. This will be a sit-down masterclass with a curated range of wines to taste, but please note that no food is included with the tasting.
If Argentina is known for any grape it is Malbec, but Mauricio’s vineyards and wines reveal another story. The South-American lineup for this tasting sees a wine list that includes ripe, concentrated but remarkably fresh Cabernet Sauvignon and juicy Cabernet Franc as well as elegant, expressive whites and red blends that bring the best out of a range of grape varieties.
Mauricio's Spanish winery is based in Galicia, in the North-West of the country. The native grapes here are Godello, with its beautiful structure, and Mencia which shows a delightful and surprising versatility, both as a red wine with silky tannins and as a cherry-bright rosé.
