Bordeaux 2009 Vintage Tasting at Christos' House
Details
A unique and unrepeatable chance to taste a range of high quality wines from a mature Bordeaux vintage! 2009 was an outstanding vintage in Bordeaux, marked by a warm, dry growing season and a late, perfect harvest. Critics described the wines as powerful, concentrated, and ripe with high alcohol levels, but with balanced acidity and fine, ripe tannins. Many called it one of the greatest Bordeaux vintages ever at the time, with some comparing it to 1982 but on a grander scale. The resulting wines are luscious and hedonistic,
In this tasting we will start with 2 bottles of a fine white Bordeaux as the welcome wine. Then there will be 8 different red Bordeaux from the 2009 vintage covering all the best communes on the Left and Right Banks - Moulis, Margaux, St Julien, Pauillac, St Estephe, Pessac-Leognan, St Emilion and Pomerol! See the photo for 4 of the wines we will taste.
Numbers will be limited to 12 people seated round one table, so almost a bottle of fine wine per person. During the tasting a selection of fine cheeses, pates, and other food will be served.
