Old World Classics Xmas Special Tasting at Christos' House

The world of wine has fundamentally changed in the last 50 years with countries like Australia, Chile and New Zealand coming on the scene. HOWEVER, wines from the Old World i.e. Europe, still dominate the cellars of most wine lovers.

In this tasting we will taste a range of fine wines from the 'classic' wine regions of Europe. We will start with a magnum of champagne accompanied by some canapes. And then there will be 3 whites, 4 reds and to finish a mature port, in all 10 bottles of high quality wine. The lineup will feature wines from Burgundy, Mosel, Bordeaux, Tuscany, Rioja and more, including some unrepeatable, mature wines - see the photo for some of the wines we will taste.

Numbers will be limited to 12 people seated round one table, so almost a bottle of fine wine per person. During the tasting a selection of fine cheeses, pates, and other food will be served.

REFUNDS: The 'ticket price' for this event is £65 including £5 for paypal/meetup fees. If you cancel by Tuesday 16th latest AND there is someone on the waitlist who pays for your place you will get a refund of £60.

Please note that Meetup charge an additional fee to attendees on top of the price which the Organiser sets. This fee is paid direct to Meetup and is beyond our control.
