The Mandarin Ink and Brush Society

We are gathering for our next session of Columbus Mastering the Art of Ink Wash, and I would love for you to join us. This event is an opportunity for those interested in the traditions of East Asian brush painting to focus on the nuances of water-to-ink ratios and the specific brush techniques that bring these landscapes and botanicals to life. Whether you have been practicing for years or are just beginning to explore the medium, we will be spending the time working through exercises together and sharing feedback in a relaxed, supportive setting.

This session is designed for anyone who appreciates the meditative nature of ink work and wants to improve their control and flow. We will have space set up for everyone to work, so please bring your own brushes and favorite ink supplies if you have them, though we will have some basic materials on hand for those who might need them. It is a great chance to step away from the daily routine and focus on a craft that rewards patience and intention.
