About us
The Marionette Workshop and Social Club is a space for anyone interested in the craft and history of marionette theater. Whether you have never touched a control bar before or you have a few puppets gathering dust on a shelf, this group is about learning the basics together. We focus on the mechanics of stringing, how to create fluid movement, and the fundamentals of bringing a character to life on a stage.
Beyond the technical side, this is meant to be a relaxed social circle. We meet to share tips, troubleshoot our current projects, and enjoy the company of other local makers. We keep things low-pressure and collaborative, believing that marionette work is best learned through conversation and shared trial and error. If you are curious about puppetry and want a regular place to practice, we would love to have you join us for a session.
