Next Level Photography using Cinematic Lighting

You may hear a lot about the quality of light or even shaping light. But what does that mean? The marketing machine in our industry will say that means expensive lights and modifiers. At RAW Photographic, we create remarkable photography by advancing the three light foundations. Distance, direction, and shape.

This course will advance your photography skills by teaching you how to exploit the foundations of light to create compelling cinematic images. Upon completing this course, you will be armed with the skills to set your work apart from other photographers.

Instructor:

Roger Williams is a 20-year veteran photographer specializing in portrait, commercial, advertising, editorial, and fashion photography. Course Outline (Duration 3 hours):

• Classroom: Pushing the Foundations of Light to the Limit

• Studio: Learn Hollywood Grip and Gaffer skills for lighting setups

• Studio with model: Apply techniques from award-winning cinematographers. Cove lighting, bounce lighting, book light.

• Embrace and celebrate hard as well as soft light. Know when to use them for maximum effectiveness!

• One-on-one coaching to master the techniques

What should I bring?

• A DSLR camera and your favorite lens
• Pen and paper for notes

• Limited to 5 participants due to COVID mitigation. All participants must wear a mask or face covering at all times and exercise social distancing while in RAW Photographic facilities.
