"Fast and Fun Apps" by Mike Hartington (Senior DevRel at ionic)

Today's users expect a web app to not only be fast and performant, but to have amazing design and features that feel native. However, this can be difficult to do if you are not sure where to begin or how to even approach the problem. We'll look at 3 design patterns that can take your app from stale and boring, to highly interactive and fun — all while keeping the performance and user experience in mind.

"What We Learned from Reading 100+ Kubernetes Post-Mortems" by Shimon Tolts (CEO and Co-Founder at Datree)

A smart person learns from their own mistakes, but a truly wise person learns from the mistakes of others. When launching our product, we wanted to learn as much as possible about typical pains in our ecosystem, and did so by reviewing many post-mortems (100+!) to discover the recurring patterns, anti-patterns, and root causes of typical outages in Kubernetes-based systems.

In this talk we have aggregated for you the insights we gathered, and in particular, will review the most obvious DON'Ts and some less obvious ones, that may help you prevent your next production outage by learning from others' real world (horror) stories.

"Getting started with Amplication" by Yuval Hazaz (Founder and CEO at Amplication)

Building modern cloud applications requires deep knowledge and repetitive coding in many aspects of the process and stack, from DB design, APIs, authentication, security, performance, testing, deployment, and scaling.

Amplication is a low-code open-source tool that helps professional developers build quality and performant applications without spending time on repetitive coding tasks and boilerplate code. Amplication generates a Node.JS application for the backend with Prisma and Postgres and a react application for the client.
