Welcome to the Mushroom.
The Mushroom is where we will gather to listen and share our testimony of struggle, newfound freedom, and the journey away from faith and organized religion.

You are one of many who have freed themself from religion and may think that you are alone. Let me inform you there are many.

All are welcome; however, we will address and reject deceitful, proselytizing good people who are of goodwill and strongly desire to save us from the judgment, raff, fire, and brimstone of the good, loving, and merciful one.

Demonizing, villainizing, and devaluing any member or guest in The Mushroom will not be tolerated.

Important: this is not a place for deconstruction of your faith. This community is not created to encourage anyone to dismiss their religious beliefs. If you left religion and want somewhere to turn, look no further. We are here if you are going through deconstruction and need an ear. Deconstruction may cause anxiety and a feeling of isolation. This space will be a place of compassion and support. No judgment, no questioning of anyone's WHY. You are your master.

What to expect:
We will show compassion and create a safe space free of the dogma synonymous with religion.
We will examine the Christian construct that enslaves.
We will champion your courage to use critical thinking skills.
We will learn from each other's experiences.
We will encourage each other to believe in ourselves, love ourselves, and have compassion for those who criticize us.
We will show victory over shame and guilt.

Let us grow, support, encourage, hear, be heard, and create a supportive, compassionate community.
We believe that peaceful discord can be a foundation for knowledge and growth.
Learning to be vulnerable and taking charge of your discomfort is a superpower.

Come with an open mind, ready to laugh at our human existence. I have many stories to share.

When I say all are welcome, I am sincere. Even the holy ghost can show up. However, he better behave.
There is no contrition and no War Room here.
