We believe the search for truth, beauty and kindness are the only things that matter. Therefore, central to our ethos are our prime directives - Kindness and the Scientific Method.
Kindness infuses compassion and sustainability into the realms of pure logic and reason, which can often be cold and cruel without its softening touch. This blend of rationality and benevolence fosters social harmony and anchors our existence.
Mystrics acknowledge the limits of human knowledge, perception and cognition. We rely on the Scientific Method to make up for our fallibilities in our search for the best approximate truth. Our blended approach to the Scientific Method integrates philosophical elements from both falsificationism and verificationism. This means that any hypothesis that cannot be repeatably verified using logic and empirical evidence is considered unproven AND that any idea that is not falsifiable is considered invalid. Subsequently, we recognise a reality exclusively based on natural elements, leaving no room for superstition and the supernatural, inevitably steering us toward an Agnostic form of Atheism.
In Mystricism, we revere the sublime and mysterious beauty of the unknown, deliberately opposing our ancestor's first reaction of inexplicable and ineffable fear. The unknown is our higher power; it subdues our ego and pride. We also treasure those transcendent moments of naturalised "spiritual" connection, beauty, and wonder, a concept called Aweism.
We invite those seeking a like-minded identity and sanctuary grounded in reason, equipped with a clear ethical framework, regular gatherings, rituals and ceremonies.
