Morgan Creek Arboretum Photo Walk – Birds, Butterflies & Macro Magic

Details
Join us for a relaxed and inspiring morning exploring the beautiful Morgan Creek Arboretum, one of Cedar Rapids’ hidden gems for nature photography. This meetup is perfect for bird lovers, macro enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys photographing the quiet magic of Iowa’s native landscapes.
We’ll spend time wandering the park’s scenic trails, stopping to photograph the butterfly garden, pollinator beds, and peaceful creekside areas. The butterfly and pollinator zones are alive with activity—perfect for capturing bees, butterflies, and other fascinating insects up close. We’ll also be surrounded by vibrant native flowers, offering striking color and context to our images. During our last visit, we spotted three different types of bees, numerous birds, and an array of blooming native plants—all within a short walk.
