About us

The Neon Glow Study and Social is a space for anyone who has ever looked at a neon sign and wondered about the craft, chemistry, and history behind the light. We are a collection of artists, hobbyists, and curious observers who meet to explore the world of neon art. Our goal is to demystify how these tubes are bent, filled, and electrified while appreciating the aesthetic influence neon has had on our urban landscapes.

We keep our meetings relaxed and informal. Some sessions involve sharing research or articles on neon history, while others are focused on visiting local installations or discussing the technical challenges of working with glass and noble gases. Whether you are an experienced glass bender or just someone who enjoys the glow of a good sign, you are welcome to join us. We just want to build a community of people who appreciate this unique medium and enjoy a good conversation.
