What we’re about
This group is for adults new to Vermont and interested in meeting new people. We will meet for fun hikes, beach hangouts, meals, craft nights, talks around a fire pit, and anything suggested by members!

See all- Breakfast Club! Blue Paddle Bistro Sunday BrunchBlue Paddle Bistro, South Hero, VT
We are going to try to start a monthly breakfast post...Let's try the Blue Paddle Bistro before the summer crowd takes over the place!
Our first Sunday brunch at the Blue Paddle Bistro left us wanting to go back every week. The menu is unique and the food was outstanding. A wee-bit pricey, but well worth the cost.
252 Club* Bag: South Hero
WHERE TO MEET: We will try to make a reservation for our group. When you arrive, simply ask for the Meetup table.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Great food! Your food and beverage will likely cost between $20 and $25.
CANCELLATION: The Blue Paddle is known for closing with little notice. I will try to get in touch with them in the morning. If I don't here back, I will post the change to Wally's in South Hero by 9:00 am.
Just a reminder that meetup.com is a platform that allows us to get together without the assumption that event organizers or leaders are licensed, insured or experts. Please join us without the expectation of bubble wrap.
*What is the 252 Club? (Well, actually it's real name is the "251 Club," but a new town was recently added to the list.) It is a club that people join, touch all 251/2 townships in Vermont, and earn a certificate of completion. Peter and I are simply tracking the towns we touch on our own. Our rule is that we must do some type of activity in the town and then take a picture of ourselves (and anyone we did the activity with) near a sign or structure that is unique to the town.
- Breakfast Club! August First Bakery and CafeAugust First Bakery & Cafe', Burlington, VT
Let's try the August First Bakery and Cafe this month. Hopefully the line will be shorter after the UVM graduation.
Our first meal at August First left us wanting to go back every week (I know I wrote that about the Blue Paddle, too, but it's true for both restaurants). The menu is unique and the food was outstanding. A wee-bit pricey, but well worth the cost.
252 Club* Bag: Burlington
WHERE TO MEET: We will stay at the end of the line until 10 am.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Great food! Your food and beverage will likely cost $20.

- Green Mountain Bluegrass and Roots Festival - Volunteer OpportunitiesHunter Park, Manchester, VT
Peter and I are volunteering and camping at the Green Mountain Bluegrass and Roots Festival this year!
We went to the festival two years ago, staying in an AirBnB with friends, and loved every minute of the experience. This year, we thought we would try something new and volunteer for the event. If we give them 15 to 20 hours of our time, our tickets and our campsite are FREE!
252 Club* Bag: Manchester
WHERE TO MEET: If you plan to volunteer for, or attend the festival, RSVP for this event. We connect with you before the event to Meetup!
