Welcome to The Nordic Connection-Washington D.C. The goal of this Meetup group is to promote all five Nordic countries and to provide a fun and interactive way for individuals to come together to explore and enjoy Nordic film, literature, art, music, sports, culture, customs, holidays, food, and language. Nordic Film Club, the Nordic Culture and Language Exchange Meetup Group, and the Nordic Travel Connections Meetup Group are included under The Nordic Connection-Washington D.C. Occasionally, we will also organize special events or attend Nordic-related events hosted by others in Washington, D.C. (and the surrounding area) together as part of this group. Membership is free, newsletters are free, and events are free unless another organization or business is involved and charges a fee. As this is not a heritage club, any nationality or ethnic group is welcome to join this community to learn about or simply enjoy all things related to Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden! Just bring a genuine interest and love of the Nordics!
