Hi everyone — I want to give you a heads-up about something Meetup (the platform, not me) is doing that could impact you EVEN IF YOU ARE AN ACTIVE MEMBER!

Meetup has announced that on January 15, they will begin deactivating accounts they consider “inactive” for the past three years. According to Meetup, “inactive” means no interaction at all — including emails, the app, or the website.

⚠️** This is Meetup’s decision, not Audrey, Diane or Kelly’s.**
We are not removing or purging members from the Novel Tourist Book Club.

That said, I’m concerned that some active members could be affected unintentionally if Meetup’s system flags accounts incorrectly.

👉 What I strongly recommend you do:
• Log into your Meetup account as soon as possible
• Click on the app, visit the website, or interact with an event
• If you notice you’ve been removed or deactivated on or after Jan 15, please rejoin immediately

📩 If you have any issues, you must contact Meetup Support directly — I don’t have the ability to restore accounts once Meetup deactivates them.

We wanted to be proactive and transparent so no one is surprised or thinks this came from us.
