Psychedelic Professionals Meet: DENVER

Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Groups are happening! Let's keep Colorado on the leading edge of psychedelic medicine work by coming together in community to learn, share, and grow. Each Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Group starts with an informative topic relevant to research, practice, policy, or activism around psychedelic medicines, followed by open discussion and an opportunity to connect with like-minded others.

For August in Denver, help us welcome Jaz Cadoch to share about OPEN: a community-wide, non-commercial research effort housed at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) that studies the impact of state-legal psychedelic services on client health. Founded in Oregon in 2021, OPEN is now welcoming both Colorado and Oregon facilitators to be research participants in this innovative work!

OPEN uses a secure, web-based system to collect data on client safety and outcomes. Participation is voluntary, confidential, and designed to minimize disruption to workflow while helping healing centers improve the quality of their services. Big impacts are already happening: OPEN has dozens of licensed facilitators enrolled, and their clients are seeing meaningful improvements in their lives.

Join us the third Wednesday of each month in Denver at Raices Brewing Company at 6:30pm! There is parking at Raices and in the lot next to Raices, yay! Raices also features both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beer and other beverages. Most nights there will be a food truck available if you're coming hungry!

Suggested donation of $10 goes toward supporting the work of The Nowak Society. If you have ideas for topics or presentations for these meetup groups or would like to be more involved, please contact us!

Finally, if you have a brochure, flyer or business card you want to display, please bring them! We kindly request that anything advertised is legal and aboveboard, but otherwise we're happy to make space for you to share your offerings with the larger community.
