About us
Making friends as an adult shouldn’t be this hard.
The Open Invite is a social community for women in their 30s and 40s who want more friendship, connection, and fun in their lives — and are willing to actually show up for it.
We’re professionals, moms, single women, married women, divorced women, empty-calendar-on-a-Saturday women — whatever your life looks like right now, you’re welcome here.
The point isn’t to have the same lifestyle. It’s to find people you genuinely enjoy spending time with.
Think coffee dates that accidentally last three hours. Book clubs. Beach afternoons. Thrifting. Pilates or cycling classes. Happy hours. Picnics. Dinner reservations. Concerts. Farmers markets. Hosting nights. Trying somewhere new. Or simply, “I’m doing this Saturday — anyone want to come?”
That’s the Open Invite.
And you don’t have to wait for an official group event. Members are encouraged to create their own plans and invite others along.
Have an extra concert ticket? Open invite.
Want company for a workout class? Open invite.
Reading at a coffee shop Sunday morning? Open invite.
Found a restaurant you’ve been dying to try? Open invite.
Want to start a little book club within the group? Do it.
This isn’t a networking group, and it’s not another online community to quietly join and scroll through. The goal is to turn online introductions into real-life friendships.
You don’t have to be outgoing. You don’t have to know anyone when you arrive. You don’t need to become best friends with everyone you meet.
You just need to be open to connection — and willing to extend or accept an invitation every once in a while.
Come alone. That’s kind of the point.
