About us
Welcome to The Paris Reading Society, a friendly community of book lovers who enjoy reading, sharing ideas, and meeting new people in Paris!
Our book club started about three years ago, and since then, we've been gathering monthly to discuss books and enjoy good conversations. Over the years, people have come and gone, but we've built a close-knit group of readers along the way. We're always happy to welcome new faces!
📖 How it works:
We read relatively short books in English.
We mainly focus on literary classics, but we're open to exploring other genres.
Our next book is chosen together through a group vote.
We usually meet on the last Sunday of each month.
Meetings take place in cafés or parks around central Paris.
🤝 What we're looking for:
We're hoping to meet people who genuinely enjoy reading and would like to be part of a book club in the long run.
We don't expect perfect attendance! We all have busy lives, and missing a meeting now and then is absolutely fine. What matters most is having a genuine interest in participating regularly, sharing ideas, and getting to know each other over time.
Whether you're a lifelong reader or just getting back into books, you're welcome to join us. You don't need to be a native English speaker, just comfortable enough to read and discuss books in English.
