See all- Philosophers meet at the XXl PicnicNoorderpark, Amsterdam
## Details
NOTE: We will keep a close eye on the weather forecast, and may postpone if there's a large chance of rain!
In the summer months, several meetup groups in Amsterdam come together to bring everyone together for picnics in the park. Meet old friends and make new ones alike.
This time we'll visit Noorderpark in Amsterdam Noord! You can get there by bike (there's a free ferry from central station) or metro (line 52). The exact location of the picnic will be announced later - we will share a Google Maps link, and a picture or two on this meetup event page to help you find your way.
You should bring (at your own risk, keep an eye on your belongings):- Food and drinks for yourself - of course, if you bring enough to share with others, you do gain karma points
- Whatever you need to make yourself comfortable; a blanket, foldable chair, layers of clothing...
- Entertainment for yourself or others; games, bluetooth speakers, musical instruments...
What to expect from the event:
We will have a Philosophy Corner for our core group and it is also the right forum to pass on some deep thinking and confusion to the merry folks of Amsterdam ;)
- Check out photos from the previous event here.
- There are usually a total of 60-90 people at the event, with lots of groups mingling.
- We officially start at 15:00, but lots of people are "fashionably late", so don't worry about being exactly on time. However, you will get kudos and points from the organizers if you are 😁
- Organizers will be there and can help you if you're having a specific issue, but meetups are ultimately just an opportunity to meet fellow meetup community members and make friends. Put yourself out there and make the best of it yourself!
Cheers,
Dev
