About us
A gathering place for open-minded, curious souls who believe peace begins in community.
We are everyday people drawn together by a shared desire to connect deeply and explore life's big questions — through books, films, conversation, and simply being together. Every voice matters here. Every perspective is welcome.
We believe peace isn't just an idea — it's something we build together, one conversation at a time. That means showing up for one another and taking shared ownership of the community we call home.
Come curious. Come open. The roundtable has a seat for you.

Movie Night: An Evening with Kato: Dreams of the Dark Earth
Location not specified yetKato: Dreams of the Dark Earth is a documentary about the Amazon rainforest — but really, it is about all of us. Because the rainforest is not a distant, separate thing. It breathes oxygen into our air, steadies our climate, and holds more life, language, and wisdom than we can fully comprehend.
And it is being destroyed, right now, at a pace that should stop us in our tracks.
This film puts a human face on that loss. It asks us to feel what is at stake — not as a statistic, but as a living, breathing world that belongs to every one of us.
I am not asking you to come as an activist or an expert. I am asking you to come as a human being willing to sit with something important, and to talk about it honestly. That is all. Watch. Feel. Talk.
Too often we tune out things that we don't think pertain to us. Let's see if this is one of them.

When Belief Breaks — and Bends Back: A Spiritual Film Night with The Reaping
Location not specified yetOn the surface, The Reaping is a supernatural thriller — a former minister turned miracle debunker arrives in a small Louisiana town to explain away a series of biblical plagues.
But beneath the tension and the darkness, this film is asking questions that are anything but fictional.
Questions about faith and doubt.
About what happens to a soul that has seen too much suffering and turned away from God.
About whether the miraculous and the terrible can exist in the same breath.
This is a film about a woman trying to outrun belief — and what happens when belief refuses to let her go.
Watch is on your own, then let's gather and discuss with the harder questions it raises.
What do we do when our faith is shaken to its core?
Can doubt be a doorway rather than a dead end?
What does it mean to be chosen — and at what cost?
And in a world that increasingly demands proof before belief, where do we find the courage to trust what we cannot fully see or explain?
This is not an evening for easy answers. It is an evening for honest ones.
Come with your questions. Come with your doubts. Come exactly as you are.

Walk for Peace- Deep Run Park
Deep Run Park, 9900 Ridgefield Pkwy,, Henrico, VA, USYou're invited to join us for a Walk for Peace at Deep Run Park on Sunday, May 17 at 9:00 a.m.
This walk is about more than just moving our feet — it's a chance to come together in community and set our intention for peace: in our hearts, our relationships, and our world. As we walk, we'll slow down, breathe deeply, and move with calm and mindfulness — letting each step be a small act of hope and healing.
There's no special pace or agenda, just open hearts and a shared commitment to carrying a little more peace with us wherever we go.
The trail is an easy one and half mile loop.We will meet in the first parking lot on the right.
If you'd like to wear orange in solidarity with the monks who inspired the walk, that would be fitting. Look for the group with orange clothes or accessories.
Dress for being in the woods in warm weather. Wear sturdy shoes that can get muddy. Bring insect repellant and a water bottle in case it's hot.
Afterward we will gather at Murat's Cafe for brunch. 12456 Gayton Rd, Henrico, VA 23238-2269
We'd love to have you with us. Let me know if you have any questions!
