About us
A gathering place for open-minded, curious souls who believe peace begins in community.
We are everyday people drawn together by a shared desire to connect deeply and explore life's big questions — through books, films, conversation, and simply being together. Every voice matters here. Every perspective is welcome.
We believe peace isn't just an idea — it's something we build together, one conversation at a time. That means showing up for one another and taking shared ownership of the community we call home.
Come curious. Come open. The roundtable has a seat for you.

Richmond Walks for Peace
Cold Harbor Battlefield Park, 5515 Anderson Wright Dr, Mechanicsville, VA, USYou are invited to join us for a walk for peace at Cold Harbor Battlefield — a gentle pilgrimage through nature, presence, and responsibility.
Not to suppress thought — but to let the inner chatter soften.
To listen more deeply.
To tune into your breath, your body, the birds, the river, and your connection to the living world.
Before we begin, you are invited to turn off your phone — to set aside the hum of the world — and tune instead to the quieter currents within. Let the mind settle. Let the body lead. Let the river, the birds, the trees, and the ground beneath your feet become your teachers.Silence gives space for the inner voice to be heard — the one that knows how to listen, how to belong, how to remember its place in the living web.
You are welcome to wear orange, if you wish, as a gesture of solidarity with the monks walking for peace whose presence and devotion inspired this gathering.
We walk not to fix the world from a distance,
but to take responsibility for our part in it —
to carry peace in our nervous systems,
to let it move through our steps,
and to offer it back to the Earth and to one another. After the walk, silence may gently lift. We normally meet at a restaurant afterwards to get to know each other. There isn't anything nearby, and the weather is supposed to be amazing, so those who wish to linger are invited to bring a little something to share. Let's picnic!
Come as you are.
Walk with the Earth.
Listen for what is alive within you.
Let peace take root.
There is no cost. All are free to attend.
We will gather at the parking lot. You have a choice of two walks. The gold trail is the outer perimeter. The surface is mostly dirt with some tree roots to watch out for. The blue trail is 1 mile.

Movie Night! A Journey Into the Never Ending Story
Location not specified yetJoin us for a deep and meaningful conversation about the beloved 1984 fantasy film
The NeverEnding Story — a tale of grief, imagination, courage, and the power of belief.Together we’ll explore:
- The symbolism of Fantasia and “The Nothing”
- Shadow, despair, and the battle within
- The Childlike Empress and the power of naming
- Why stories need us as much as we need them
- What this film reveals about trauma, creativity, and becoming
Whether you grew up with Atreyu and Falkor, or you’ve never seen the movie before, this conversation will go beyond nostalgia into myth, psychology, and the hero’s journey.
Come ready to reflect, share, and re-enter Fantasia together.
Because the story never really ends…
It continues in us.Bring your favorite scene, a question, or simply your sense of wonder.

Movie Discussion Night: Undone
Location not specified yetWhat if time isn't linear? What if the visions you're having aren't symptoms — or what if they are, and it doesn't matter?
These are just a few of the questions that Undone, the animated series on Amazon Prime, refuses to let go of.
Let's meet and talk about it.The show is a strange, beautiful puzzle — part family mystery, part meditation on grief and loss, part exploration of indigenous Mexican spiritual traditions, and part unflinching look at mental illness and how we define reality itself. It doesn't give easy answers. That's exactly why it's worth talking about.
Come ready to question what you think you know — about the mind, about time, about the stories we inherit from the people we've lost.

month, we’ll read a book that inspires us, challenges us, or just makes us feel more connected—to ourselves, each other, and something greater. No pressure, no perfection—just a warm space to share, reflect, and grow together.
If that sounds like your kind of vibe, we’d love to have you with us.
The host(ess) rotates. Our host for April is Phil.
Our book is: A World Appears by Michael Pollen
Pollan takes us on a journey through the hidden worlds that surround us — the intricate lives of plants, the science of perception, and the ways we come to understand what is real. It's a book that rewards open minds and delights in the art of careful looking.See you here: https://us06web.zoom.us/s/7618256344
