Kato: Dreams of the Dark Earth is a documentary about the Amazon rainforest — but really, it is about all of us. Because the rainforest is not a distant, separate thing. It breathes oxygen into our air, steadies our climate, and holds more life, language, and wisdom than we can fully comprehend.

And it is being destroyed, right now, at a pace that should stop us in our tracks.

This film puts a human face on that loss. It asks us to feel what is at stake — not as a statistic, but as a living, breathing world that belongs to every one of us.
I am not asking you to come as an activist or an expert. I am asking you to come as a human being willing to sit with something important, and to talk about it honestly.
