The Call
In the heart of the wild, where whispers lay,
A call to return, the old, primal way.
Not to hunt or to gather, or live as before,
But to rekindle the flame, of something more.
To be rewilded, is to let the soul breathe,
In the vast, open space, beneath the green trees.
To listen to the wind, and the rustling leaves,
To feel the Earth pulse, beneath bare feet.
To be rewilded, is to empty the mind,
Of the clutter and chaos, of the modern kind.
To find quiet in the noise, peace in the fray,
And the wisdom within, to guide the way.
To be rewilded, is to feel every emotion raw,
To soak in joy, to feel awe.
To let the heart weep, and let it roar,
To feel, oh to feel, and begin to soar.
To be rewilded, is to carry the light,
Of the spirit within, burning so bright.
To be anchored in truth, in love, in grace,
To recognize the divine, in every face.
No walls of concrete, no chains of time,
Not bound by convention, or reason, or rhyme.
The answer we seek, lies not afar,
But in being who we truly are.
In our hearts, in our souls, in our very marrow,
Lies the path to the wild, the straight and the narrow.
For we are the earth, the wind and the fire,
Children of billions born from the stars admired.
So let us be rewilded, let us roam free,
For we are the stewards, of our own destiny.
Human, yet wild, in thought, word and deed,
In the heart of the wild, we are all indeed freed.
